Blogger is a type of website that is used for online
conversations or informational purposes, and it is comprised of discrete,
typically informal diary-style text posts that are uploaded to the World Wide
Web. On the majority of websites, postings are shown in reverse chronological
order, with the most recent post showing first and at the top of the website's
primary navigation bar.
Blogging is a web-based service developed in the
United States that allows a large number of people to create
blogswith posts
that are timestamped. Pyra Labs was in charge of the project's development
before it was bought by Google in 2003. Blogger.com is a Google-hosted blog
network that may be accessed through a subdomain of the blogspot.com domain. A
consumer domain name (such as www.google.com) may also be used to access
Google's servers, which may be accomplished by redirecting the domain names to Google's
servers through the use of DNS capabilities. There is a maximum of 100 blogs or
websites that may be created by a single user account
Users
may also upload blogs and websites to their own hosting services server using
the FTP protocol before May 1, 2010, which was a significant improvement over
previous versions of Google Blogger. In order to continue operating, all such
blogs and webpages were obliged to switch to blogspot.com subdomains or link
their own domain names to Google's servers via the Domain Name System (DNS).
[7] The fact that Google Blogger has a large worldwide user base and is
available in more than 60 different languages despite its decline in popularity
in the United States cannot be overlooked.
